Grab your crochet tops and heart-shaped sunglasses, Ryerson! With the help of RU Student Life, I will be taking you inside Bestival this weekend. Woodbine Park will be teeming with millennial hippies from June 11-12th as the colourful UK music festival visits Toronto for its second year–this time with famous headliners Tame Impala and The Cure.
Under the 2016 theme, “Summer of Love,” Bestival will bring with it not only an impressive two-day lineup, but also an atmosphere evocative of the 1960s. With a range of activities that extend beyond musical performances, Bestival encourages a coming-together of Toronto’s diverse population. Inviting you to “surrender to the possibilities,” Bestival aims to provide the 6ix the ultimate opportunity to escape from the confines of the classroom, the proverbial summer job, and budding professional endeavours.
Want to join me? Tickets for the festival and its afterparties can be purchased on the Bestival website. Still on the fence? Be sure to check out our post-event coverage to whet your 2017 festival palette.
