Okay, fine, you don’t really have to…all you need to do is show up to the Faculty Challenge Hockey Night at Mattamy Athletic Centre on Feb 8 at 6.30 p.m. and SHOW LAURIER WHO’S BOSS.
…Ahem.
So this is how it works. On Feb 8, at 6.30 p.m., the Office of the Vice-Provost, Students (OVPS) is hosting the Men’s Hockey game against Laurier. As a pretty sweet incentive to come out and cheer on our Rams, the OVPS is going to give $2 to each faculty course union for every one of their students that makes it out to the game.
As if that wasn’t already awesome, if your faculty brings the highest percentage of people out, then your course union gets to bag an additional $2,000.
Win cash just by watching hockey…hmmm…decisions, decisions.
I know, you’re thinking,
Good, that’s the idea. All you have to do is come early, (doors open at 6.30 p.m., so we mean it when we say come early!) check in at the main lobby, swipe your OneCard, tell us your faculty, get your ticket and enjoy the game!
And we’ve got food deals! Concessions are on a special discount rate with a pretty special meal deal available.
Heather Lane-Vetere, your Vice-Provost, will kick off the game by dropping the first puck with a student rep from each faculty. Then the winning faculty will be announced at the second period intermission.
TL;DR
a) Go to a Ryerson Men’s hockey game,
b) Win cash for your course union courtesy of the Office of the Vice-Provost Students,
c) Get a sweet deal on food,
d) Bring all your friends, up your course union’s attendance percentage and win even more money,
e) Wear your Blue and Gold and…Go RAMS!!!
See you on the ice!
