So you’ve made it through the first four days of O-Week and you’re probably pretty wiped right now. But you’ve got to put your tiredness aside: roll out of bed, smash some coffee or a Red Bull and catch your fifth wind for a final day so sweet it should be illegal.
Group Meet Ups
We know it’s been a long week of late nights and early mornings, so we’re giving you a bit of a sleep in today (although you can come down early if you want). Stroll down to campus anytime from 10a.m.-12p.m. and hang out with your leaders and new friends. This is the perfect time to ask leaders any outstanding questions you have and to get know them and your fellow first years in a chill atmosphere. The Ryerson Athletic Centre will also have fitness equipment in the Quad to showcase their group fitness classes, so be sure to check that out if you’re looking to feel the burn.
Come noon it’s time to raise some money for Cystic Fibrosis research. An annual event at schools across Canada, your group will come up with creative ways to raise as much money as you can – shoe shining, busking and aggressively perstering strangers have proven to work in the past. The group who raises the most money off campus will get some free food from the food trucks later in the day!
At 3p.m. students and leaders will take part in the annual flash mob! This year we’ve got some good tunes and sweeter dance moves than Napoleon Dynamite. So check out the tutorial video and practice, practice, PRACTICE.
Pub Night After Party
Head over to the Ram in the Rye for a final huzzah to end off your amazing week!
And then it will be over. It’s ok to cry, we know it will be tough to adjust back to normal life that doesn’t consist of long days and longer nights, cheering every five minutes and dancing until you just can’t move anymore. Try to recuperate for the next three days and get ready to start classes.
