Dear Reader,
You would think after 18 years of being on this planet I’d have a single clue as to how to prepare for University. But in all honesty, I’ve never even moved once! I’ve lived at the same house my entire life and the biggest move I’ve ever faced was moving my bedroom from the top floor to the basement…
It’s weird to think that you can pack your entire life into a cardboard box, it kind of puts a perspective on how much you gained over the last couple of years, and how much you have to leave behind; however, although leaving will be sad, I’m extremely excited for the move and I know only good could can come from it!
With time passing by my mom suggested it would be a good idea to start packing now. It just makes this whole situation feel a lot more real! Having never moved before I decided to venture through the internet on Tumblr, Pinterest, Google, etc to create “The Ultimate What to Pack for University/College List”. I assumed packing would be stressful, but it actually turned out to be quite fun. I feel a new found sense of independence knowing that I now have my very own cutlery that I bought with my own money, haha.
Anyways, to see what’s on the list please watch my latest Youtube video “What to Pack for University/College? – mikaelmmelo”. If you like what you see please be sure to give the video a thumbs up, leave a comment down below, share it with all your friends and family, and subscribe for more upcoming content 🙂

I’ve recently revisited Ryerson for the 3rd time this summer (the excitement is getting the best of me) and I think I have a decent grasp of the campus thus far. After surviving the tortuous “RAMSS Games” as I’d like to call them, I feel I really lucked out with an extremely good schedule. I currently have Friday’s off (my saving grace), with no classes past 6pm which is better than I could have ever imagined.

On top of that amazing schedule, I just found out that I’ll be a member on this year’s Course Union of RTA (CURTAS)! I will be a first year representative for the Media Production department and I am over the moon. Student Council was a big passion of mine back in high school so I am glad that I’ll be able to continue to help out around the school to make this upcoming school year an AWESOME one!
In other news, I’ve started to talk to some people on my floor, everyone seems very diverse and friendly! I will be in Pitman Hall as part of the Leadership LLC, I’m on floor 6 and I also discovered the theme for Pit 6 is “Lights, Camera, Action!” HOW COOL AND PERFECT DOES THAT SOUND?! Pit 6 is gonna be sick! (Corny slogan I know, but hey at least I’m trying.) I think I am just a little too thrilled for University… But who ever said that was a bad thing?

That about concludes this week’s #RoadToRyerson update! Thank you once again for enduring such a lengthily post. Feel free to contact me on any social media platform, I LOVE meeting new people!
