Figuring out a costume idea for Halloween is an activity in itself. Do you go funny or clever? Scary or, shall we say, adventurous? With Halloween a few days away, there are places around campus to get your spook on.
You won’t find big outlets downtown but here are three places you might want to check out:
Dollarama: For those who would rather party cheap this year, the Dollarama at College Park is the place to get bad costumes and expired makeup. The plus side? You’re at the dollar store so you know you’ll find something awesome that you can make into a costume.
Malabar: If you want to go out to go all out, Malabar is a classic. Going all out does often mean that you’ll be leaving feeling a little bit lighter in your wallet. But whether you want to go biblical or baroque, this place will deliver.
Stag Shop: Feeling a little adventurous? The Stag Shop on Yonge Street, among many other things, does carry Halloween costumes. Want to be a sexy nurse? Thinking of going as a sexy firefighter? Or maybe a sexy angel? There’s a common theme here…
With that perfect costume ready, Ryerson has you covered for places to show it off. The Full Moon Halloween Club Night by the Ryerson Students’ Union will get your weekend started right on Oct. 28. Get your tickets at the Student Campus Centre. On Oct. 29, put on your best costume for the Freaky Friday Halloween Pub Night at the Ram and the Rye.
