It’s no surprise that you have to network to get work, but how do you avoid that awkward moment when someone offers you their  business card and you have nothing (or a really crappy card) to offer in return. I’ve run into this situation so many times, the “broke student” excuse can only last for so long. Here are some cheap options for business cards

2. Facebook Timeline Business Cards – 50 cards for FREE

MOO cards has collaborated with Facebook to create unique, personalized business cards with the designs of your Facebook timeline. You can order 50 free cards with your personalized info and photo designs, FOR FREE! To order the cards you must activate the Facebook Timeline on your profile (for directions on how to do so go here ).  Click on the about tab of your profile, scoll down to Contact Info, hover over the card icon beside Contact Info and click “Print Cards”. Form there you will be directed to the MooCards website where you can customize your 50 free cards.

 

3. CardFlick App – FREE

CardFlick is an IOS app which allows you to virtually flick your contact card onto the screen of other users who also have the app installed and automatically syncs up your contact info. If the person you are trying to connect with does not have the app, not to worry, you can email your contact card directly to the person via the app. CardFlick is available in the App store for free
