If we wait until we’re ready, we’ll be waiting for the rest of our lives.
“Lemony Snicket, The Ersatz Elevator”
I guess you could say that I’ve dipped my toes into the pool of adulthood for the first time this past week…
It’s exciting. Really! Not having somebody tell you what to do, having a variety of different classes and scheduling your time to do things you want to do! I’ve felt like the world has been placed into my hands, giving me complete control.
Last Friday, the #RoadToRyerson bloggers had lunch with the RUStudent life team! It was so much fun to finally meet them in person! I’ve always found the meeting-online-before-meeting-in-person thing to be an impossible event in my life, but I’m proud to share that it’s happened to me!

On Wednesday, I experienced my first all-nighter of the school year. It was really fun and wasn’t as challenging as I anticipated. Not to mention, the wonderful people in my program…They helped me get through the dreary parts of the night where I just wanted to go home and sleep. Now that I think of it, it was a memorable bonding experience where we all agreed to suffer together until we completed the assignment.

As this is my last blog post with the #RoadToRyerson, I wanted to share some of the topics the bloggers have talked about.
We realized how unique we were as a group of 5, and in some ways, we were also very similar! We appreciated the arts and wanted to pursue careers related to the field. Four of us all lived in one of the Ryerson residences, while Raven lived off campus. We had similar experience growing up and how we wanted to attend a university that was located in a growing city.

I am so glad to have met each of the bloggers, for they are very passionate and have a fresh view of the world. I enjoyed talking for hours about Lemony Snicket’s, A Series of Unfortunate Events, with Nolan and meeting Raven’s hilarious cousins while she took numerous pictures of Nolan, hearing Sunita’s lovely accent and stories of her home life in Ireland and shopping with Mikael for an Ellie Goulding concert!

Even though it’s been 2 official weeks since I’ve moved to Ryerson, I feel comfortable to call Toronto my second home 🙂
I definitely made the right choice to come to Ryerson. Honestly, I appreciate the community at Ryerson. The food, the people and the unique learning environment are all something I am glad to be a part of.
Thank You
